I can't wait to continue with their journey in the second Odium book. This is not a YA book, it is very realistic, for adults, partly due to language. She has never fought zombies before so must learn to protect them both. ![]() I will let you find out about the other adventures they experience. She has a rule for herself to not become attached to anyone but the young girl she is bound to protect captures her heart. Their journey is a tough one and Nina is a very hard person after her experiences behind the wall. They begin foraging for food and weapons. Survival outside the walls with nothing but the clothes they were. It is not all blackened and destroyed with zombies everywhere. Outside the walls it is much different from what they were told. Nina decides she has had enough and says she will go with her. She has seen this happen many times but one day a young teenage girl is being put out because she stole food. ![]() Any offenders of the stringent rules are punished by banishment outside the walls. She is not happy in this "safe" place behind the wall because the man in charge is power hungry and controls the people, what they eat, what their work assignments are, when they eat, what they do. ![]() Review 1: Nina starts out her journey behind walls, after civilization fell and zombies roamed. ![]()
